Biohacking Tonsillitis

I’m 39 years of age and every second year i get tonsillitis, that’s been the case for as long as I can remember. This time was different though. It came back with a vengeance and was worse than ever.

If you’ve ever had tonsillitis, you surely know of the traditional western way of handling it. 1: Determining if the illness is; a. bacteria or b. virus.

In short, if a; eat antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and painkillers. If b; eat painkillers and anti-inflammatory. If treated tonsillitis comes back, or if you get peritonsillar abscess, the option is to remove the tonsils all together.

I would like to think that there are more alternatives that that.

When my tonsillitis came back this year, the doctors prognosis stated that it was a virus A first for me.

A week after my appointment at the Dr’s, my symptoms had gotten worse, at this point the pain was unbearable, I had to go to the emergency room. It was later established that I had peritonsillar abscess, caused by a bacterial infection.

They drained the abscess (something I wouldn’t want to go through again) and gave me a prescription for a heavy dose of antibiotics. The dosage was devastating for my gut microbes and weakened me severely. One month after the first painful stay at the emergency room, the shit was back. Tonsillitis. I had to go to the doctors again, they prescribed me the same dose antibiotics. I wasn’t having it, this time I decided to try to biohack the problem instead.

The Tonsillitis Protocol

To resolve the problem with my damaged (big pockets and scared), I needed to create a broad spectrum of antibacterial and antiviral properties in liquid form.

After research, I came to the conclusion that oregano oil, colloidal silver, apple cider vinegar, salt and liposomal C-vitamin, would be what I would use.

Non of these products are recognized or approved by mainstream healthcare, but from that day, up until now, if fought off three cases of tonsillitis with my broad spectrum mix of antibacterial and antiviral properties.

The structure of the protocol

Colloidal silver.

When you start researching colloidal silver, you get mixed messages. Team Colloidal Silver touts it as a cure-all, backing the claims with personal stories about how it took care of problems that other remedies couldn’t touch. Then, you hear scary warnings from the other side, claiming at best that it has zero effect, and at worst it will turn you blue.

Scientists haven’t investigated these effects in humans, likely because you can’t patent it so no group is motivated to put any funding behind testing it. So, it’s hard to say what would happen in people.

Its effectiveness might have something to do with the shape of the particles. Since there’s no way to create a uniform size and shape in your colloidal silver solution, you’ll get a mix of shapes and sizes.

Oregano oil

Oregano oil comes from the leaves and shoots of the oregano plant. Oregano has been popular ever since the Greeks and Romans used it for medicinal purposes in ancient times. In fact, the name oregano comes from the Greek words “oros,” meaning mountain, and “ganos,” meaning joy or delight. The oil contains compounds called phenols, terpenes and terpenoids, which have powerful antioxidant properties and are responsible for its fragrance:

  • Carvacrol: The most abundant phenol in oregano oil. It has been shown to stop the growth of several different types of bacteria.
  • Thymol: A natural antifungal that can also support the immune system and protect against toxins.
  • Rosmarinic acid: A powerful antioxidant that helps protect against damage caused by free radicals.

These compounds are thought to underlie oregano’s many health benefits.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is the most popular type of vinegar in the natural health community.

It is claimed to lead to all sorts of benefits, many of which are supported by science.

This includes killing harmful bacteria, weight loss, reduced cholesterol, lower blood sugar levels and improved symptoms of diabetes.

It is also an ancient folk remedy, and has been used for various household and cooking purposes.

C-Vitamin

It may not be the cure for the common cold (though it’s thought to help prevent more serious complications). But the benefits of vitamin C may include protection against immune system deficiencies cardiovascular daises , prenatal health problems, eye disease, and even skin wrinkling.

Salt

Salt or salty solutions can draw water out of bacteria through their cell membranes and this dehydration (among other things) can reduce or prevent the chemical reactions they rely on to live and reproduce.

How to use the protocol

Gurgle salt, apple cider, oregano oil once a hour in warm water

2 dl water

2 tbs apple cider vinegar

2 tbs salt

10 drops oregano oil

Get a small spray bottle. Fill it up with colloidal silver and as many drops of oregano that you can handle. Spray in the throat every 20 minutes. Make shore to eat as healthy as possible, preferably an anti-inflammatory diet. I tripled my C-vitamin intake ( expensive urine LOL)

An additional product i used comes from Nutrinovate

Medistus AntiVirus will be your shield and hero when you need extra protection. A fruity sweetening lozenges with natural active ingredients that gives you enhanced protection against viruses and bacteria for up to two hours. This protective barrier leads to a physical (mechanical) barrier against viruses and bacteria which prevents their penetration into body cells and their further propagation.

With these tools I finally stand a fighting chance against tonsillitis. As soon as i get the feeling that something is about to brake out, I start this protocol. It has helped every time since I started it.
